COPACABANA BEACH


Located in the South Zone of Rio de Janeiro, the Copacabana boardwalk has 4.15 km made with black and white Portuguese stones. There are several kiosks and restaurants, with live music at night.

There is no need to worry about chairs and umbrellas, as it is possible to rent right there. In addition, at the beginning of the beach, where the water is calmer, some stand up paddle schools are located.

BOTANICAL GARDEN


Founded in 1908 by Dom João VI, Jardim Botânico is a research center and one of the main tourist spots in Rio de Janeiro. The site is home to rare species of bromeliads and orchids, as well as a beautiful Japanese garden.

The Botanical Garden has historical monuments, such as Echo and Narcissus by Mestre Valentim. There is the museum of the environment.

When to go? Mondays: from 12h to 18h / From Tuesday to Sunday: from 8h to 18h. Ticket prices are R $ 24.00 for residents of Brazil.

MARACANÃ


Largest soccer stage in Brazil, the Jornalista Mário Filho Stadium, the Maracanã, is an almost mandatory place for football lovers. The stadium was the scene of one of the biggest fiascos in Brazilian sport, Maracanazo, the defeat for the Uruguayan team in the 1950 World Cup final.

There Pelé, the greatest soccer player of all time, scored his thousandth goal.

Maracanã hosted the 2014 World Cup final between Germany and Argentina, which ended with the German team's fourth title.

BRAZILIAN NATIONAL LIBRARY (BN)


Created on October 29, 1810, the National Library of Brazil is the depository of Brazilian documentary and bibliographic heritage. The library's collection has more than nine million pieces, including 60,000 items brought by the Portuguese royal family, in 1808, from the Royal Library of Portugal.

In addition, it is considered by UNESCO one of the ten largest national libraries in the world, being the largest in Latin America.

When to go?

BN is open to visitors from Monday to Friday, from 10 am to 5 pm. The building is fully accessible, with ramps and elevators. Guided tours are free and carried out during the opening hours of the place.
